Littleb’s To Do List

BigB and I are both list makers.  I’m a daily list keeper and BigB has one continuous list that he adds to and re-prioritizes as necessary.  If I do something that is not on my list, it gets added to the list and then crossed off.  BigB will never reach the bottom of his list.

It didn’t come as any surprise to us when littleb turned out to be a list maker, as well.

This weekend, BigB told littleb that they could spend Saturday doing whatever he wanted.   Littleb promptly set about making a list of things for them to do.

Here it is:

littleb’s list

Just in case you can’t read his baby chicken scratch, here it is:

What to do with dad today
1. Golf
2. Free Birds (movie)
3. Target (window shopping)
4. Bike without training wheels
5. Play at the park
6. Go to battleground z (indoor play center)
7. Drive around the neighborhood
8. Go home
9. Eat while watching new t.v. shows
10. Play Trouble
11. Go to bed
12. Get up in the morning
13.  Make a new list for tomorrow

I can’t be sure, but I believe he might take after me-a daily list maker.  Dad didn’t get much crossed off his own list on Saturday.  Then again, what else are Saturdays for if not eating while watching new t.v. shows and driving around the neighborhood.

Happy Monday, Kids.  Feels like we were just here.

That is very cute. Good thing you explained the Free Birds one because I was ready to ask if you were holding birds captive.

Sounds like a nice list for a weekend. Hope LittleB got to cross all of his wishes off.

And here I thought he was going to JIVE around the neighbourhood, which would have been pretty exciting. Dang.

Wait now, who's doing the driving? If littleb is, that could be quite exciting as well. In a car, that is. On a bike? … ahhh, I do believe I just had a mental breakthrough on that item.

His spelling is excellent. Not sure of his age but from his picture it looks like he is maybe ahead of the curve.

Nice list. I am a list person also. And I add stuff/cross it off, too. Otherwise, how will I know if I've frittered the day away or if I just spent it doing invisible stuff? (You know, the stuff that has a 24 hour lifespan or less. Much less.)

Hi Cheryl-Perspective is everything, isn't it? I was worried that you would think we were taking him to rock concerts. He crossed everything off his list. Our lists are strangely intact.:-)

Hi DBS-I probably would have chosen a different movie, too, in retrospect

Ha, I didn't notice the Jive until you said it. I'm picturing all of us jiving around our neighborhood. We'd start a new trend, I'm sure. First the bike, then the car, and if we would let him drive, he has every confidence he can handle it. Thanks, we think he's bright but Mensa isn't knocking on our door yet, so the jury is still out on that one. If his spelling looks good it is because he sits right beside me and says, “Mom. Mom. How do you spell “neighborhood”. Okay, Mom…..Mom listen to me! How do you spell 'Watching'. …..Mom….how do you sp…MOM! Listen to me!!”, so he has help, you see:-)
